What is the difference between Solar Pro (Gen 2) and Solar Pro?

The main difference is that Solar Pro (Gen 2) includes a new trademarked design with wider vents, 8-Core Solar Drying (Twin heater coil), 20% larger angled fan blade, more than 175, 000cm3 of air volume coverage (CFM) and up to 150cm air length.

What is the difference between Solar Pro (Gen 2) and Solar Sonic (Gen 2)?

The main difference is that Solar Pro (Gen 2) features a 2-in-1 Sol Ion™ which is an inbuilt Ioniser that generates both positive and negative ions to combat musty laundry odour and repel dust mites. This feature will activate automatically when any drying feature is enabled.

Can I trade in my existing rack?

Our trade-in program offers a discount of :

  • - $20 for manual system (eg. ceiling mounted bamboo rack, HDB pulley system, foldable system)
  • - $50 for an automated system of another brand

Does the system have any power requirements?

All Steigen automated laundry systems have an electrical requirement of a minimum 6 Ampere to function. We can use an existing lighting point or a dedicated power socket for the system.

Does the system require maintenance?

Our systems require zero maintenance, and cleaning duties are not necessary. However, if you wish to clean your system, you may do so by lightly vacuuming or wiping away any visible dust on the telescopic poles.

Can the system fit in BTO HDB flats?

All Steigen models can fit in standard 3-5 room BTO HDB flats.

Site Measurement

Is the site measurement free?

We provide a free on-site measurements where our Site Measurement Expert will recommend a model based on your space and needs. Also, discuss the different power source options.

I have yet to move in/collect my keys. When should I book my site measurement?

We recommend booking the site measurement upon the key collection date of your new place. Also, please discuss with your ID/contractor on the carpentry and electrical layout prior to the site measurement so that we may assist you better. Please note that all of our systems require a power source outlet to function (minimum 6 ampere).

I have already moved into my place. When should I book my site measurement?

Is the site measurement compulsory?

Our site measurements are not compulsory and non-obligatory. If you wish to skip straight to the installation stage, please cross check your space dimensions with our minimum space requirement dimensions.

Steigen Experience Centre

Do you accept walk-in customers?

Walk-ins are welcome to swing by our Steigen Experience Centre for a demo and to test out the system. Our last walk-in will be at 5:30pm.

Where is the Steigen Experience Centre located at?

We are located at 140 Paya Lebar, AZ@Paya Lebar #08-26, Singapore 409015 (3-min walk from MacPherson MRT Exit A).

What models do you have on display?

All models are available for product demo at our Steigen Experience Centre. The colours available for viewing are White, Silver, Eclipse and Midnight Blue.

Installation

Will the existing system be dismantled?

We do offer dismantling services at no additional cost when you trade-in your existing rack. The removal will be done on the same day as your Steigen system installation and the existing rack will be disposed of by Steigen.

Note: If you wish to retain the laundry rack in working condition, please engage an ID/contractor to assist with the dismantling instead. Please dismantle the existing rack before the Steigen automated laundry system installation. In this case, trade-in program discount will not be applicable.

When should I install?

We recommend installing the system after wiring and carpentry are completed, and before the final paint touch-up. During the installation, the existing drying rack will be dismantled and the drill holes left behind by the exisiting rack will be patched up (free of charge). No painting services will be provided.

Are there any installation charges?

We provide the delivery, installation, dismantling of existing rack (if any) and connection to an existing power source at no additional costs.

How long does an installation takes?

Installation takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, our installer will contact you prior to their arrival.

What is the installation lead time?

Our installation lead time is around 2 weeks (subject to changes). All available slots can be viewed on the checkout page of the website.

I have an order with Steigen. Where can I book my installation?

If you have an open date order with us, our installation lead time is around 2 weeks (subject to changes), you may view all available slots here.

Are there any earlier installation dates?

For earlier installation dates, please contact our Customer Support team here for assistance.

I have not collected my keys. Can I make a purchase first and install later?

We can hold the system up to a year from the date of purchase. Hence, you may cart out the order with an open date installation and book your installation later.

How do I reschedule my installation date?

What are the installation time slots available?

Our installation slots are available from Monday to Saturday (except Public Holiday) at these time slots:

9am - 11am

11am - 1pm

1pm - 3pm

Please secure your desired slot at least 2 weeks in advance (subjected to changes)

Delivery will be made within the stipulated slot. Installation takes approximately 1.5 - 2 hours, depending on the complexity of work.

Can I relocate my system?

Relocation is priced at $100 (includes uninstall and reinstall at your new place), please contact our Customer Support team here for assistance.

Do you provide on high ceiling installation?

If you have high ceiling of more than 3.2m, we do provide installation alternatives (at no additional costs), please reach out to our Customer Support team here.

Do you provide on false ceiling installation?

False ceiling installation can be carried out as long as all requirements below are fulfilled:

1) There is a concrete slab beyond the false ceiling

2) The distance between the false ceiling and concrete ceiling is not more than 1.2 metre

3) There are no obstacles (such as pipes etc) blocking the mounting points of the system

We will assist to do the reinforcement by adding stainless steel rods which connect to the concrete slab for you. It's invisible and there are no extra charges on this.

Do you provide condo installation?

For condo installations, we highly recommend seeking approval of the condominium management before booking an installation date.

Will there be any patchworks done?

After dismantling your existing laundry rack, we will help to patch up any holes in the ceiling from the existing laundry rack with white plaster. The white plaster will take about 1-2 days to dry. Plaster colour may differ from your ceiling paint colour; Steigen does not provide any painting services.

Hence, we recommend installing your Steigen system before the last touch upof paint. Otherwise, you may keep some paint to paint over the patchworks after it dries up.

Will the installation be noisy/ are clean-ups needed?

There will be drilling works, drilling will take place within the first 30 mins of your booked time slot.

The drilling will not cause your home to be dirty as our drill bit comes with a vacuum attached to it

Delivery

What are the delivery time slots?

Delivery and installation will be done on the same day. Installation slots are available from Monday to Saturday (except Public Holiday) at these time slots:

What are the delivery fees?

There are no additional delivery fees. All prices of our systems include local delivery, installation and warranty (2 years on parts and 5 years on motor and LED light).

Warranty

What does the warranty cover?

The standard complimentary warranty covers 2 years for all parts and 5 years for up-down lifting motor and LED light.

In the event if your complimentary warranty expires, Steigen would still provide lifetime on-site technical support. From light/heater replacements to machine repairs, you can arrange for an on-site repair visit for free and only the equipment replacements will be charged.

The warranty applies to Steigen automatic laundry products, and covers defect(s) in material and/or workmanship under normal installation and use. At the company's discretion, Steigen shall provide free of charge repair or replacement of the defect within the warranty period. It also covers logistic costs for the servicing.

The warranty in respect of a repaired product/part will continue to be warranted for the remaining of its warranty period.

Is there any warranty registration required?

Registration of warranty is not required. The warranty will automatically commence on the date of installation.

How much is the warranty?

All Steigen automated laundry systems include a complimentary warranty coverage of 2 years for parts and 5 years for up-down lifting motor and LED light. 

We also offer extended warranty ($100) which covers an additional 1 year for parts (total 3 years for parts and 5 years for up-down lifting motor and LED light).

How do I extend my warranty?

During order placement, you will be able to select the option to extend the warranty for your system.

*Extended warranty can be purchased within 2 years from the date of installation. 

**Extended warranty is effective from the installation date of the Steigen system.

What is not covered under warranty?

You may not make a claim under this warranty unless the defect claimed is due to faulty, defective parts or workmanship. This warranty does not cover:

  • - Batteries for the remote controller
  • - Misuse or abuse, including failure to properly maintain or service
  • - Normal wear and tear- Power surges, electrical storm damage or incorrect power supply
  • - Malfunction caused by improper disassembling, modification or repairing by 3rd party
  • - Incorrect, improper or inappropriate operation
  • - Insect or vermin infestation- Accidental damage due to own's negligence
  • - Exterior damages caused by chemical fumes or sharp objects

Do I need to provide proof of warranty when requesting for service?

A copy of your original receipt and physical inspection is required to claim the warranty.

Do you provide remote control replacements?

We offer a 1 for 1 exchange at our Steigen Experience Centre. Do bring your faulty remote to our Steigen Experience Centre for a 1-for-1 exchange and do quote us your order number for verification too. We will cover up to 2 accidental damages for remote control. This is only valid for systems installed from 2018 and onwards.

Subsequent replacements would be needed to be purchased at $30 each.

What are the available payment options?

Payment for purchases on www.steigen.com.sg can be made via Visa or MasterCard or American Express.All purchases of Steigen systems are processed online through our online store www.steigen.com.sg. You may view all available payment methods here.

Do you have installment plans?

We offer 4 installment plan options at the moment:

  • - Atome 0% interest installment plan of 3 months(Orders have to be placed through our main webpage for this payment mode)
  • - ShopBack PayLater (previously known as Hoolah) 0% interest installment plan of 3 months(Orders have to be placed through our main webpage for this payment mode)
  • - Pace 0% interest installment plan of 3 months(Orders have to be placed through our main webpage for this payment mode)
  • - Grab PayLater 0% interest installment plan of 4 months (Orders have to be placed through our main webpage for this payment mode)

Are prices inclusive of GST?

All prices of our system includes GST, installation, delivery and warranty (2 years for parts and 5 years for up-down lifting motor and LED light).

Returns & Refunds

What is your refund process?

Refunds and returns must be done within 30 days from the date of delivery. Intentional modification or cosmetic amendments of the system that may impact the refurbishment or usability will void the terms of the system’s return policy.

You may refund/return your order for any of the following reasons:

  • Systems that are defective/damaged upon arrival, please contact us.

Here follows the general requirements for returns:

  • Proof of purchase (invoice order number and payment receipt).The system must be in its original state and condition, along with all original accessories (e.g. remote control and charging cable) and any free gifts received with it.

Here follows the condition(s) when the system is non-returnable:

  • Intentional misuse or abuse of the system, including failure to properly maintain or service
  • Power surges, electrical storm damage or incorrect power supply
  • Malfunction caused by improper disassembling, modification or repairing by 3rd party
  • Incorrect, improper or inappropriate operationInsect or vermin infestation
  • Accidental damage due to owner's negligence
  • Exterior damages caused by chemical fumes or sharp objects
  • Uninstallation and return delivery charges will not be charged. Drill holes left behind by the system after uninstallation will be patched up. However, painting services will not be provided.

One 1-to-1 exchange is allowed per purchase. The exchange system will not be eligible for further exchange or refund unless faulty.

If your refund/return meets the above requirements and should you wish to proceed with the refund/return, please contact our Customer Service Team with your contact details and invoice order number.

Here follows the refund/return process:

  • Our Customer Service Team will verify the refund/return reason(s) and arrange an uninstallation and pick-up date for you
  • We will process your refund or replacement based on the reason(s) highlighted to our Customer Service Team within 10 days from the starting from the day we received your returned system.
  • A refund reimbursement will be done through the same mode of payment that was made in the original purchase. For cash payments, an e-banking transfer will be done instead.
